What is Daemon In Linux

Daemon is a process that often runs continously as long as the system is up. Daemon is often started and they get terminated when system is Shut Down.

Daemon runs in Background, i.e, There is no controlling Window for a Daemon. It Runs Independent OF a terminal or a login session.
